Summer Program Incentive Grant 2019

Once again we are offering funds to assist your section with summer program!

If your section would like to run at least one activity a month for your youth, in June, July and August, then you can qualify!

Here’s how it works… You will find attached to this email, a Canadian Path BINGO card. Complete one line of your choosing, submit your package of “evidence” by April 1st and we will give the first 20 sections $200 to help fund their summer program adventures.

Algonquinte Area, White Pine Council is seeking applications for the position of Area Commissioner.
Candidates for this key volunteer role in Algonquinte Area should be committed to the values and principles of Scouting. Each should believe firmly that the Scouting movement is of benefit to Canadian society and be respected for their honesty, integrity, and ethics.

No One Left Behind: changes for 2018-2019

No One Left Behind: A subsidy program offering financial assistance for registration and program.
The NOLB program is aimed at children from families struggling with financial hardship all across Canada – so that they also get the chance to benefit from the values, skills and experiences offered through Scouting. The opportunity to belong to a group that teaches important life skills, self-esteem and community service has a huge impact on these youth.

How to bring a non-member friend to Scouts

One of the most proven successful ways to have new youth and adults explore the benefits of Scouting is to bring a friend to a meeting or event. The objective of a bringing a non-member friend is to grow membership by having existing Scouting members act as ambassadors of the Scouting Movement. 

2018 Youth Scouting Conquest

Woodland Trails Scout Camp, 14919 Kennedy Road, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario

$10.00 per competitor (includes lunch and crest)

This event is a competition hike at Woodland Trails, to be held Saturday, August 18.  This event is open to all youth from Scouts to Rovers, and to all Scouters and Volunteers.
