I am happy to announce the appointment of Victor Woodburne as Interim Council Commissioner, White Pine Council effective immediately. Victor started his Scouting life with 10th Whitby Group in White Pine Council in 1998.  He began giving his time and talents in Group Fundraising in 1998.  In 2001 he became the Group Registrar; in 2003, the Group Commissioner and; in 2004, the Deputy Area Commissioner Group Support.  More »

The Annual General Meeting for the Shining Waters Council will take place on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bowmanville High School. Following the annual meeting will be the Chief Scout/Queen’s Venturer Award Ceremony at the same place starting at 2:00 p.m. Recipients will receive joining instructions as to the time they are to arrive prior to the 2:00 p.m. start.
