White Pine Council is 1 of 20 Councils within Scouts Canada and is located in Eastern Ontario, hosting 4800 members in 100 Groups.  The Council generally covers the territory from Pickering to Napanee, up to the southern border of Algonquin Park. 

White Pine maintains 6 properties within its 7 Service Areas which benefit members by providing a variety of locations for delivering exciting, year-round outdoor program activities. The Council also runs a vibrant residential and day summer camp program out of Camp Samac in Oshawa, ON for youth ages 5 to 16.

White Pine Council is supported by the Central Ontario Service Centre (COSC) located in Toronto, Ontario. The COSC also services Central Escarpment, Greater Toronto and Shining Councils.

Friends in Scouting, I am writing to advise you of changes that are being made to Mississauga Scout Shop operations. Despite efforts aimed at improving store sales results, the Mississauga Scout Shop has been operating at a loss for the past five years. We are now in a position where additional steps must be taken to ensure that we can continue supporting our Central Escarpment members with Scouting materials and outdoor equipment in a sustainable manner.
