White Pine Council is 1 of 20 Councils within Scouts Canada and is located in Eastern Ontario, hosting 4800 members in 100 Groups.  The Council generally covers the territory from Pickering to Napanee, up to the southern border of Algonquin Park. 

White Pine maintains 6 properties within its 7 Service Areas which benefit members by providing a variety of locations for delivering exciting, year-round outdoor program activities. The Council also runs a vibrant residential and day summer camp program out of Camp Samac in Oshawa, ON for youth ages 5 to 16.

White Pine Council is supported by the Central Ontario Service Centre (COSC) located in Toronto, Ontario. The COSC also services Central Escarpment, Greater Toronto and Shining Councils.




The Annual General Meeting for the Shining Waters Council will take place on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bowmanville High School. Following the annual meeting will be the Chief Scout/Queen’s Venturer Award Ceremony at the same place starting at 2:00 p.m. Recipients will receive joining instructions as to the time they are to arrive prior to the 2:00 p.m. start. Hello Area and Council Commissioners, Please be advised that after remaining frozen for three years, there will be a slight increase to the pricing of ScoutsTracker this fall. The basic annual cost for a section ScoutsTracker account will be $44.95. Additionally, there will be an additional level of volume discounts offered, as follows 4-9 sections: 25% 10-19 sections: 30% 20-99 sections: 35% 100+ sections: 40% The multi-year discounts will not be affected.
