White Pine Council (Charitable # 10776 1694 RR0205) is 1 of 20 Councils within Scouts Canada and is located in Eastern Ontario, hosting 4800 members in 100 Groups.  The Council generally covers the territory from Pickering to Napanee, up to the southern border of Algonquin Park. 

White Pine maintains 6 properties within its 7 Service Areas which benefit members by providing a variety of locations for delivering exciting, year-round outdoor program activities. The Council also runs a vibrant residential and day summer camp program out of Camp Samac in Oshawa, ON for youth ages 5 to 16.

White Pine Council is supported by the Central Ontario Service Centre (COSC) located in Toronto, Ontario. The COSC also services Central Escarpment, Greater Toronto and Shining Councils.

No One Left Behind: A subsidy program offering financial assistance for registration and program.   The NOLB program is aimed at children from families struggling with financial hardship all across Canada – so that they also get the chance to benefit from the values, skills and experiences offered through Scouting. The opportunity to belong to a group that teaches important life skills, self-esteem and community service has a huge impact on these youth.   More »
One of the most proven successful ways to have new youth and adults explore the benefits of Scouting is to bring a friend to a meeting or event. The objective of a bringing a non-member friend is to grow membership by having existing Scouting members act as ambassadors of the Scouting Movement.  More »
Jamie Caswell was an avid Scouter in White Pine Council’s Oshawa Area who had a passion for working with youth and bettering his community. He organized Easter Eggs Hunts, Winter Rallies, Cub Winter Activity Days, Halloween Hikes, and spent countless time building structures at Camp Samac. More »
