White Pine Council (Charitable # 10776 1694 RR0205) is 1 of 20 Councils within Scouts Canada and is located in Eastern Ontario, hosting 3800 members in 100 Groups.  The Council generally covers the territory from Pickering to Napanee, up to the southern border of Algonquin Park. 

White Pine maintains 5 properties within its six traditional event areas which benefit members by providing a variety of locations for delivering exciting, year-round outdoor program activities. The Council also runs a vibrant residential and day summer camp program out of Camp Samac in Oshawa, ON for youth ages 5 to 16.

White Pine Council is supported by the Central Ontario Service Centre (COSC) located in Oshawa, Ontario. The COSC also services Central Escarpment, Greater Toronto and Shining Councils.




Due to the unimaginable events that are happening globally in regards to Covid-19, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel all of our paid staff summer camp programs for this year. Due to closed facilities and the social stain the COVID-19 has had on our volunteers, the training team made the difficult decision to postpone the Woodbadge 2 and QM Course to spring 2021.  Registrations received will be retained, however, refunds will be issued back to the same way they were received, and new payments collected spring 2021.  Further details at: More »

(DATE TO BE RESCHEDULED, REGISTER YOUR INTENTION TO ATTEND) What: “How to Plan a Special Event” workshop. Why: Facilitators who have experience running events of all sizes can share their knowledge. Topics include: making a Proposed Budget, marketing, registration, building your event team, where to go for help.
